A. Yes. As long as you confirm with Rachelle before the 19th of the month prior to the new month, your spot stays yours. Your credit card will be charged on the day you register. However, starting month 2, which will be June, your credit card will be charged on the 1st of the month for however long you choose to continue. (June 1, July 1, August 1, etc - hopefully forever!🥰)
A. You must inform Rachelle via email ([email protected]) by the 19th of the month prior to cancellation, so your credit card is not charged.
A. Rachelle begins putting feelers out when students tell her they need to change times. Given ample notice, your changes should be able to be accommodated.
A. Yes! You may register for more than 1 spot if there are available spots.
A. There will not be any make-ups for missed classes, no exceptions. The monthly Open Studio dates are provided as an accommodation in case you need to miss class, although I will not be instructing. Those that don't miss a class, get to come to Open Studio as a bonus! 🙌
A. We offer 20 Open Studio time slots each month. Dates and times vary. The Open Studio calendar for the month is usually released around the 25th-27th of the month prior.
A. Open Studio is an additional opportunity for you to create! You will be able to work on the wheel, handbuild, start new projects, work on current projects, etc. You will have access to all the equipment, tools, student glazes, etc. You are in charge of how you would like to use your time!
A. No, Rachelle will not be teaching in Open Studio. Open Studios are monitored by a Studio Assistant and are not for instructional purposes. Studio Assistant is available to help with studio logistics, ie; finding something, they are not there to instruct.
A. Yes, you must buy your clay through Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio. There is a list of types of clay to choose from in the online membership resources. Only clay that is used in our studio will be fired. No outside clay and no outside pieces will be fired. 😎
A. Yes, but that is completely between you and them. 👏🏼
A. There is a variety of glaze choices, typically over 100 of them, plus a Zinc-Free Clear for your use. Some of these glazes may rotate and Rachelle will take requests into consideration. Rachelle tries to provide stable glazes with consistent results. There are additional glazes that you have access to upon request like fluxes and Red Iron Oxide, as long as you have had the in class training to use them. If you would like anything different, you are welcome to purchase your own if you get them approved by Rachelle first. They will be solely for your use and you can bring them with you when needed. They must be approved by Rachelle so that I can determine if they are compatible with the clays we use.
A. No, only pieces that are done in Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio will be fired.
A. Again, no. Only pieces that are done in Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio with the clays and glazes I approve, will be fired.
A. Rachelle is willing to help you in more specific aspects of your personal goals as we progress. She will answer general questions as time allows in weekly classes. For more in-depth and specific guidance, Rachelle offers mentorship and coaching appointments for an additional fee. Please email Rachelle ([email protected]) with your requests.
A. No, whether you are a professional artist/potter or a hobbyist that sells your work, you may not use our studio for production of any quantity.
