$120 per Couple - Single Class
All levels welcome
2 hours(ish) class
4 Students per class
Included: all clay and underglazes, use of tools and equipment, 2 kiln firings - 1 bisque and 1 glaze, guided instruction
Instructor will clear glaze bisque pieces once out of 1st firing

Instruction focuses on introduction to handbuilding techniques of pinching, slabbing, and coiling.

Clay/Art Journaling Workshop
In one fabulous day, brainstorm, imagine, and create a 3D Vision "Bird" that will continue to enlighten your way through the year!
Rachelle will facilitate an Art Journaling experience in clay based on the Japanese Proverb "Flower, Bird, Wind, Moon."
Clay instruction focuses on handbuilding a 3-D bird sculpture. Art Journaling instruction focuses on ways to self-nurture through the year. The class brings this all together.

Sculpt a tale of intrigue, mystery, humor, or fantasy told in 3D by form and design. The story is "expressed" through the sculpted figure, how they are positioned, their facial features, their clothing-if any-, and other characteristics.
Instruction focuses on handbuilding a 3-D human-esque sculpture.

All levels welcome, although recent basic experience with clay is required.
Venture into sculpting and bring 3D life to your human story.
Create a figurative depiction, use symbolism, render in the abstract, or portray realism. It's a human in figure and story in style.

Upon retirement I was looking forward to renewing my interest in art classes, especially hand-building in clay, which I loved in college and never had time for during my career. I had no idea how lucky I’d be to find Rachelle’s pottery workshops. She is the best instructor I’ve ever worked with. She’s inspiring, talented, knowledgeable and fun. After big changes in my life I was forced to stop marking art. Emotional and financial hardship let me with no time or motivation. 6 months ago I moved to Polk County and started looking for a creative group to belong too. And I stumbled with Rachelle's ad on instagram and just knew right there I had to try it. I am so overly thankful for this. I really different mediums but I like clay the most. Rachelle Eason has been an artist all her life. She is the owner of Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio in Lakeland, FL where she focuses on teaching adults in a progressive learning adventure in clay. She also produces own line of fabulously functional pottery.
Rachelle Eason is also the creator of Plant-Stained Paper... artistically designed with fresh flowers and leaves then boiled together for one-of-a kind designs.
