Couples Clay Classes
$120 per Couple - Single Class
All levels welcome
2 hours(ish) class
4 Students per class
Included: all clay and underglazes, use of tools and equipment, 2 kiln firings - 1 bisque and 1 glaze, guided instruction
Instructor will clear glaze bisque pieces once out of 1st firing

Instruction focuses on introduction to handbuilding techniques of pinching, slabbing, and coiling.

Clay Sculpture Workshop -2 Days
Dive deep into sculpting and bring 3D life and personality to your animal of interest. We'll adventure into the process and techniques for shaping the form, layering for dimensional effect, and bringing the piece alive with surface details. Then we will learn and put into use different techniques for glazing to get your desired finished effect.
Instruction focuses on handbuilding a 3-D sculpture.
.Must be 18 Years or Older. No Walk-Ins. Only registered students are permitted in the studio.
All levels welcome, although some basic experience with clay is beneficial.
Venture into sculpting and bring 3D life to your Animal.
Create in a simplified whimsical manner with a touch of elemental abstract.
Students are encouraged to follow their own intuitive design making.

Upon retirement I was looking forward to renewing my interest in art classes, especially hand-building in clay, which I loved in college and never had time for during my career. I had no idea how lucky I’d be to find Rachelle’s pottery workshops. She is the best instructor I’ve ever worked with. She’s inspiring, talented, knowledgeable and fun. After big changes in my life I was forced to stop marking art. Emotional and financial hardship let me with no time or motivation. 6 months ago I moved to Polk County and started looking for a creative group to belong too. And I stumbled with Rachelle's ad on instagram and just knew right there I had to try it. I am so overly thankful for this. I really different mediums but I like clay the most. Rachelle Eason has been an artist all her life. She is the owner of Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio in Lakeland, FL where she focuses on teaching adults in a progressive learning adventure in clay. She also produces own line of fabulously functional pottery.
Rachelle Eason is also the creator of Plant-Stained Paper... artistically designed with fresh flowers and leaves then boiled together for one-of-a kind designs.
