Join Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio Owner, Rachelle Eason for a 4-Week Clay Course, the prerequisite to joining our membership, as well as advanced classes. Join instructors Chloe Prewitt and Diana Harrison for in-person pottery classes that introduce fundamentals in technique and design through guided instruction and practice activities.

Rachelle has a Master's in Education and has over 30 years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher in public and private schools, as an adjunct college professor in ceramics, and a facilitator of art experiences for all ages. Her engaging style encourages creating with individual expression as students hone their skills and grow in their passion for handcrafted pottery.

Couples Clay Classes

$120 per Couple - Single Class

All levels welcome

2 hours(ish) class

4 Students per class

Included: all clay and underglazes, use of tools and equipment, 2 kiln firings - 1 bisque and 1 glaze, guided instruction

Instructor will clear glaze bisque pieces once out of 1st firing

Classes are held in Rachelle's Lakeland, Florida home studio. Specific location will be sent upon registration.

Handbuilding with

Focus on Texture & Surface Design and

Prep for Learning the Pottery Wheel in the Future*

.Must be 18 Years or Older. No Walk-Ins. Only registered students are permitted in the studio.

Instruction focuses on texture and surface design as well as prepping students to go on pottery wheel down the road if desired.*
Classes are 2 hours
Projects vary.
Students are encouraged to follow their own intuitive design making.
Included: all clay and glazes, use of tools and equipment, kiln firings, guided instruction
Classes start promptly on time.
Class Registrations are non-refundable.
Along with other determinants, this handbuilding class is a prerequisite for being invited to join the pottery membership.

Thursdays, January 11-February 1, 2024

This is a continual adventure in art to inspire Creative Wellness in your daily lives. It is fabulous for ones who have created with me before as well as new students. We'll dive deep into a variety of art techniques using watercolors and gouache! The art will be the "prewriting, reflective" stage to your journal writing in response to the weekly prompts.

Upon retirement I was looking forward to renewing my interest in art classes, especially hand-building in clay, which I loved in college and never had time for during my career. Rachelle Eason has been an artist all her life. She is the owner of Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio in Lakeland, FL where she focuses on teaching adults in a progressive learning adventure in clay. She also produces own line of fabulously functional pottery.

Rachelle Eason is also the creator of Plant-Stained Paper... artistically designed with fresh flowers and leaves then boiled together for one-of-a kind designs.
