Adult Clay Camp

Black & White with "Fab" All Over

Monday - Wednesday... April 28, 29, 30 2025

Adult Clay Camp - Open to Students with Clay Experience (This is not a beginner course.)
All MMPS students are at a level to participate in this camp.

Theme... Black & White

When you can concentrate on just the clay, not distracted by "How am I going to glaze this," style and form take precedence. In this Adult Clay Camp... Black and White with "Fab" All Over... we'll use precise techniques to create with refinement. Your desired style... whimsical, gracefulness, earthy, or other will ring true as we take our time on each part forming and shaping for fabulously functional pieces.

Three Day Workshop In-Person Pottery Classes - Handbuilding

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - April 28, 29, 30 9-4PM each day

Black & White with "Fab" all over!

Join in as we create FABULOUSNESS using our favorite messy black clay!

We'll mix, blend, marble, and "freckle" together Kentucky Mudworks Brown Bear and Iceman to learn new techniques for combining two clays to create fabulous pieces! At the end of camp, you'll have three pieces ready to dry for bisque firing that will just need clear glazed before their final firing.

MMPS can register using a member discount code if they already have Brown Bear* and Iceman* and choose to use it. Clay is included for non-members and members who choose to use studio clay.

*Standard 266 can be used instead of Brown Bear for a dark brown finish. Brown Bear gives an almost black appearance. Photo sample is actually Standard 266 and Little Loafers.

*Members can use Standard 266 or Brown Bear for their dark clay and Iceman or Little Loafers for their light clay. Either dark will work with either light.

Member exclusive class... If you already have Brown Bear and Iceman, you may use your clay and get a discount on the class registration. Code available in Communities. If you do not have those clays and do not wish to purchase those loaves, you can register at the full price and clay will be provided for you.
