Join Diana for an adventure in

handbulding with stoneware clay!

Instruction in creating and glazing according to a variety of themes. Join in for a month to see what its like then keep coming to explore the world of possibilities!

Some months will make a variety of pieces, some months will have pieces that take more than one week to construct. Please email studio owner, [email protected], with any questions prior to registration. All registrations are final.

Pottery Classes - Seasonal Student Session 2024/2025

Class Info

Classes focuses on developing hand-building techniques of pinching, slabbing, and coiling through guided instruction to complete specific projects.

Teacher led projects vary. Students are encouraged to follow their own intuitive take on each project.
Once students show an understanding of basic techniques, they are invited to work on their own projects during class under the supervision of the instructor.*
Wheel Throwing is not available during the Seasonal Student Session.

Seasonal Student Session includes...

4 Weekly Instructional classes per month 3 hours each.
Use of studio glazes.
Bisque and Glaze firings - schedule varies.
An auto draft payment for registration each month to guarantee your spot. (Cancellation is required by the 19th of the prior month.)
One Open Studio a month - typically 20 time slots of Open Studio are available per month.
In lieu of our 4-Week class requirement for membership, This "Try IT Out" Student Session teaches a version of the 4-week class during November 2024.

Students must purchase their clay which will be kept at the studio. No outside clay is permitted and clay that is taken out of the studio may not be brought back in to reduce chance of firing issues. An email with clay options will be sent after registration. Clay starts at $56/loaf of 25lbs and takes includes glaze & firing fees.

Students must purchase their own tools and brushes. A list with links to recommended supplies will be sent upon registration.

*Minimum of 4 students per class. No make-ups for missed classes.

Class registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

*We are very careful in making sure - to the best of our ability - that pieces put into the kiln are not going to explode or shatter and harm other students' work.

**** Production of pieces for retail or wholesale selling is not permitted at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio except for owner Rachelle Eason.

Must be 18 Years or Older. No Walk-Ins. Only registered students are permitted in the studio.
