Candle Making at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio!

Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio is offering the opportunity for you to do candle pouring in your vessels! Yay! Now you can create your own ceramic candle holders and, after they are fired, glazed, and fired again, you can mix up your own fragrant soy wax concoction and pour your own candles!

This opportunity is only available to members and any non-members enrolled in specific candle making clay classes.

There is a charge for the candle making station. This charge includes all the consumables and material fees of candle making... wax, fragrances, wicks, wick tabs, etc plus the use of the candle making equipment including the wax melter.

Of course as members, you will use your own clay to create your vessels.

Wax fees will be assessed in 6,  8, 10, and 12 oz portions. Please note that you will be assessed the higher amount if you go past the stated increments. For example, an 11 oz candle will get assessed the 12 oz price. Anything larger than 12 oz will have a custom fee - talk to Rachelle

Please note... Each increment of wax is for one candle. You must buy multiple quantities if you are doing multiple candles and you cannot stack them together.

For example... If you want to make 2 six ounce candles, then you need to order a quantity of 2 six ounce not 1 twelve ounce to split, because...this charge includes all the consumables of candle making... wax, fragrances, wicks, wick tabs, etc plus the use of the candle making equipment including the wax melter.

At this time, we are not using dyes to color our wax. The dyes can change the composition of the wax and the effectiveness of the wicks. Soy wax cools and cures to a creamy white.

Why are we adding this perk? Well...#1 It's so much fun gifting a candle to someone when you can say you created the ceramic vessel and mixed the scent just for them, and #2 it's just as much fun to treat yourself to a bit a tranquility and pride of burning a candle you made and mixed.
