Class Info

    Instruction will focus on developing hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. This is a progressive journey through understanding and working with mid-fire stoneware and porcelain clay. Projects vary. Students are encouraged to follow their own intuitive design making. Students may even opt out of instructor led projects to follow their own clay pursuits.

Membership includes...

• 4 Weekly Instructional classes per month 3 Hours Each

• 1 Open Studio session per month - 3 Hours (days/times vary, registration required)

• Option to purchase more Open Studio hours each month.

• Use of designated studio glazes. (Personal glazes may be purchased separately.)

• Use of equipment. Members are required to purchase their own basic tool set and glaze brush set.

• Bisque and Glaze firings - schedule varies.

*** 25lbs of clay is enough for one to two months for most students. Additional 25 lbs bags of clay are purchased through Rachelle as needed.

*No make-ups for missed classes. Open Studio is available to give students additional access time to work with clay on their own (no instruction during Open Studio) as well as compensating for a missed class.

**** Production of pieces for retail or wholesale selling is not permitted at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio except for owner Rachelle Eason.

Must be 18 Years or Older. No Walk-Ins. Only registered students are permitted in the studio. Registration is non-refundable.
